We are growing in Northern California and will be hiring an experienced, competent, and reliable Lead Technician to meet our expanding client base's needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicating project performance effectively with project managers each day. Working closely with, and under the direction of, a project manager, foreman, or superintendent. Reading construction plans and tracking daily execution progress and quantities, including timely submittals of photos and documentation. Installing, maintaining, and/or removing stormwater construction BMPs, such as silt fence, fiber rolls, construction fence, jute net, hydroseeding, etc. Assisting with general construction tasks such as working with hand tools, installing underground and above-ground pipe and conduit, backfilling and compacting soil, sweeping, equipment spotting, and traffic flagging for various construction projects involving demolition, earthwork, and underground utilities. Safely and efficiently operating small equipment such as forklifts, water trucks, dump trucks, mechanized trenchers, hydroseeders, etc. Ensuring compliance with safety plans and project quality requirements. Ensuring that all field procedures and safety protocols are followed in compliance with company- and client-specific requirements. Interacting appropriately, responsibly, and positively with coworkers, client representatives, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors. Consistently arriving on time, providing clear instructions, maintaining a positive attitude, actively collaborating with colleagues, assuming responsibility for all assigned tasks, and upholding company policies and ethical standards. Resolving personnel- or project-related conflicts that may arise during the execution of work. Reporting to job sites as directed. Travel and work at remote locations requiring out-of-town stays for periods of a few days to several weeks at a time may be required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
5+ years of verifiable Laborer Experience, with increased responsibilities that demonstrate ability to be a crew lead and/or supervisory role. Pay commensurate with knowledge, capabilities, and experience. Ability to safely and effectively manage a crew of 2 to 4 workers performing a variety of general construction activities. Physical strength and stamina required to complete strenuous work for long shifts outdoors. Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal communication and comprehension skills. Ability to maintain detailed records and documentation. Consistent professionalism and positivity. Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment. Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment and annual physicals, including alcohol/drug screening. High school diploma or equivalent.
HAZWOPER
40-hour training preferred. Experience operating various types of small equipment, trailers, and flatbed trucks and performing a variety of labor tasks preferred.
