Job Description

Title:
Commercial Construction Superintendent Reports to: Project Manager and/or Operations Manager Summary Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors while ensuring professionalism, safety, quality and schedule execution on commercial construction projects throughout San Francisco Bay Area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Review plans, job estimates, and scopes of work to develop a comprehensive work plan for execution of the project. 2. Prepare construction and procurement schedules with necessary updates that accurately convey the proper sequence of all construction related activities with subcontractor buy-in to clients, consultants, architect, and other stakeholders as required. 3. Track construction schedule and identify "critical path" tasks. 4. Assist as required in applying and picking up building permit(s). 5. Coordinate and schedule all required project inspections. 6. Review and comply with all building rules and procedures while maintaining positive relationships with building owner, engineer, and property manager. 7. Understand building requirements for construction activity in loading dock, freight and/or service elevator(s), restrooms, and all building systems, including Life Safety, sprinkler, loading dock, HVAC, and EWC. 8. Schedule and assure timely execution of the daily activities of subcontractors. 9. Review subcontractor safety policies and programs. 10. Conduct daily safety tailboard meetings. Review and complete Job Hazard Analysis and complete Superintendent Daily Log. 11. Supervise subcontractors and verify that work is being performed in accordance to plans and specifications, with the highest-quality workmanship. 12. Document any conflicting field, plan, and/or specification conditions, and review with project manager and/or architect as required for proper construction means and methods. 13. Create redlines to document construction progress throughout the course of construction. 14. Coordinate and schedule necessary temporary occupancy permit as required. 15. Provide all necessary closeout documents. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Abilities 1. Minimum (5) five years of experience with successful track record as Project Superintendent, Project Engineer, or hold a Construction Management Degree with experience in field supervision. 2. Commitment to jobsite safety and safe working practices. Good working knowledge with Cal-OSHA requirements and strong commitment to good safety planning and execution in all activities. 3. Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures. 4. Attention to detail to enforce quality control. 5. Strong leadership, professionalism, and people skills. 6. Commitment to collaboration and teamwork. 7. Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to, Procore, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Teams. No recruiters please.

$125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
