Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Age Program Manager to oversee and support our school-age programs across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the Program Director, this role plays a key part in staff training and development, licensing compliance, program quality, and operational consistency. The Program Manager works closely with Site Directors, HR, Program Director, and leadership to ensure programs run effectively, meet regulatory standards, and align with organizational goals. This position requires a hands-on, collaborative leader who can provide guidance, maintain strong relationships, and support both staff and program success. This is a full-time, on-site position averaging 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Staff Leadership & Development Support hiring, onboarding, and training of school-age staff in collaboration with HR Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to Site Directors, including performance management and staff development Conduct Site Director evaluations and support staff review processes Plan and facilitate orientations, trainings, and all-staff meetings Maintain a positive, supportive relationship with all staff and act as a liaison between sites and administration Program Oversight & Operations Provide direct oversight and support to Site Directors across multiple locations (7) Step in as interim Site Director when needed to ensure program continuity Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and daily operations across sites Support implementation and consistency of curriculum, behavior management strategies, and program quality Conduct regular site visits and provide reports to leadership Oversee field trips, site safety procedures, and emergency protocols Licensing & Compliance Maintain expertise in Title 22 licensing regulations Ensure all sites remain compliant with licensing requirements Conduct regular licensing checks and support sites during inspections Partner with licensing analysts and ensure proper documentation and follow-through Program Development & Administration Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement policies related to program quality, health and safety, and behavior management Support curriculum planning and ensure alignment with organizational standards Review and approve site communications such as newsletters and menus Utilize systems such as Brightwheel to monitor ratios, communication, and compliance Financial & Administrative Support Support Site Directors in managing budgets and financial processes Review staffing in relation to enrollment and ratios Assist with time-off approvals and administrative documentation Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up on operational needs Parent & Community Relations Support Site Directors in building strong relationships with families and school partners Address and document parent or community concerns in collaboration with leadership Participate in events and represent the organization within the community Qualifications & Skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE, Child Development, Education, or related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Site Director in a licensed childcare program Experience in staff supervision, training, and performance management Strong knowledge of Title 22 licensing regulations and compliance practices Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities effectively Experience working with children and staff in licensed childcare settings CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Proficiency with technology and program management tools (e.g., Brightwheel, Google Workspace) Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites This role is ideal for passionate professionals eager to shape impactful programs for school-aged children. $5,895.00 - $6,700.00 per month
