Assistant Superintendent RimePro Inc Torrance, CA Job Details Full-time $110,000 - $135,000 a year 11 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Construction schedule coordination Schedule management Construction documentation Commercial building projects Full Job Description Summary A reputable, mid-sized general contractor is looking to bring on an Assistant Superintendent to support ground-up commercial construction projects across Orange County. This role is focused on true site development and vertical construction and is ideal for someone who has built projects from the ground up and wants to continue growing within field leadership. Key Responsibilities Support the Superintendent in managing daily field operations on ground-up commercial projects Assist with site logistics, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and trades Help oversee sitework activities including grading, underground utilities, and early-phase construction Coordinate inspections with city, county, and DSA (if applicable) to keep projects moving Maintain jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications Track progress using look-ahead schedules and assist with resolving field issues Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution Support documentation including RFIs, submittals, and daily reports Help drive schedule adherence from sitework through vertical construction Requirements 3-5 years of experience with a general contractor in a field role Experience on ground-up commercial construction projects Exposure to DSA work, sitework, grading, and underground utilities preferred Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural plans Strong coordination and communication skills working with trades and internal teams Familiarity with scheduling and field documentation tools (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Strong backlog of local ground-up work
