Position Overview The Field Manager supports the Project Manager and self-perform team in coordinating field execution for assigned construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This role serves as a key member of the project team and focuses on field operations, trade coordination, inspections, safety compliance, logistics, scheduling support, and quality control. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of helping drive project progress while supporting communication between field and office teams. Key Responsibilities Support daily field coordination between the Project Manager, self-perform team, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to maintain alignment of project goals, schedule, and site operations. Assist in development and maintenance of project schedules, including baseline schedules, CPM updates, and 3-Week Look Ahead planning. Monitor field progress and help identify schedule impacts, sequencing issues, and project hurdles that could affect timely completion. Coordinate and document the inspection process, including inspection requests, agency coordination, and follow-up required to maintain compliance. Support quality control efforts by reviewing installed work for compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Coordinate punch list activities and support timely completion of corrective work throughout all phases of the project. Promote and monitor project safety compliance, including site safety planning, training coordination, documentation, and enforcement of company and project safety requirements. Assist in development and implementation of project site logistics plans, including access, staging, material flow, and trade coordination. Coordinate material tracking, bill of materials, and deliveries to support efficient sequencing and uninterrupted field operations. Interpret drawings and specifications for subcontractors and assist in resolving field coordination issues in collaboration with the Project Manager, self-perform team, and subcontractors. Coordinate shop drawings, field communication, and implementation of design details to help ensure the project is built in accordance with contract documents. Support project compliance requirements, including dust control plans, SWPPP coordination, temporary facilities, traffic control plans, utility investigations, and daily reporting. Prepare and maintain daily reports, field documentation, and progress photos to ensure accurate recordkeeping of site activity. Assist with coordination of subcontractor and supplier scopes, and letters related to deficiencies, delays, and field performance issues. Support mobilization, demobilization, and closeout activities, including final inspections, punch completion, and turnover readiness. Maintain a positive work environment and effective communication across the entire project team and administration office. Perform additional field and project coordination duties as assigned to support company and client objectives. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction field coordination, field operations, or superintendent support roles. Strong knowledge of construction project delivery systems, construction administration processes, building trades, and construction principles and practices, including means and methods, materials, building systems, planning, scheduling, and estimating. Experience directing and coordinating trade subcontractors, field personnel, and other members of the project team. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work assignments effectively. Excellent verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record consistent with Seals Construction, Inc.'s and insurance carrier's standards. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting materials as needed. Hearing and visual capabilities sufficient to safely navigate jobsite conditions and hazards. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required; project management software such as Bluebeam and Procore preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and field coordination skills with the ability to support daily jobsite operations and trade performance. Advanced organizational and time management abilities to manage inspections, deliveries, schedules, and multiple field priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with subcontractors, field leadership, inspectors, and internal project teams. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify field issues, support problem-solving, and help keep work progressing efficiently. Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all aspects of project delivery.
