PROJECT MANAGER LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION

Full-Time Reports to: VP of Construction Responsibilities Lead landscape construction projects from contract execution through closeout Own project budget, schedule, and overall performance Align design, field teams, and client expectations Own financial performance of projects Track labor vs. estimated hours and cost-to-complete Forecast margin and protect gross profit Manage and issue change orders within 48 hours of scope shifts Serve as primary client point of contact post-contract Communicate milestones, risks, and updates clearly Lead difficult conversations early and professionally Maintain a high level of client confidence Drive project strategy and planning Develop schedules, sequencing, and production plans Identify risks to budget and timeline early Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams Lead and align field execution Work closely with Supervisors to hit production targets Support field leadership while holding accountability Ensure projects are built to K&D quality standards Manage project documentation and systems Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change documentation Maintain accurate data in Aspire and internal systems Ensure financials and schedules are always current Own project closeout Financial reconciliation and final billing Client walkthrough and sign-off Clean transition to maintenance when applicable Working Conditions Office-based with frequent jobsite visits Fast-paced environment managing multiple high-value projects High accountability with clear ownership expectations Collaboration across design, field, and leadership teams Compensation & Benefits $90,000 $120,000 (based on experience) Bi-annual performance bonuses Health insurance (Kaiser plan) 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and sick time What Success Looks Like Projects finish on schedule and within budget Gross profit meets or exceeds targets Labor performance is controlled and predictable Change orders are timely and clean Clients feel confident and informed No end-of-job financial surprises Offered compensation: $90,000/yr - $120,000/yr Experience and License Requirements CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite (optional) Landscape construction estimating (optional) Landscape Industry Minimum of 3 years Landscape project management (optional)
