Job Description

Senior Superintendent Founded in 2011, DCPS is a commercial property services contractor providing services to over 1,100 clients. DCPS leverages unparalleled customer service to be the leading, one-stop provider of commercial property services in Colorado. With multiple offices, more than 300 employees, and 7 divisions - Asphalt and Concrete, Waterproofing and Specialty Coatings, Roofing, Snow Removal and Parking Lot Sweeping, Landscaping, and Construction, DCPS provides specialized, integrated service-solutions to commercial property owners and managers. Position Summary The Senior Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities from pre-construction through project completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with DCPS quality standards. This position serves as the on-site leader, managing field personnel, subcontractors, and daily operations while acting as a key point of contact for project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction projects from mobilization through closeout Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules and sequencing plans Coordinate field operations across subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Supervise and lead field personnel, subcontractors, and labor crews Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback to team members Ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation across job sites Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards on-site Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and hazard assessments Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors Monitor workmanship and ensure all construction meets quality standards and code requirements Perform routine quality checks and manage punch list completion Collaborate with Project Managers to track budgets, control costs, and mitigate overruns Identify and resolve field issues proactively to maintain schedule and margin Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors Communicate project updates, risks, and progress effectively to all stakeholders Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates Ensure all inspections, permits, and regulatory requirements are met Qualifications 8-10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems Experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore or similar) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field OSHA 30 certification Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects Familiarity with lean construction practices and quality control processes Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active construction sites for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Work Environment This is a field-based position requiring regular presence on active construction sites. The role involves frequent coordination with field teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
Compensation Salary:
