Job Description
Maxwell Development is looking for an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee custom homes, spec homes, and residential development projects throughout Cortez, Durango, and surrounding areas. This is not a desk only position. We are looking for a hands on leader who is willing to be in the field daily, solve problems, create solutions, help crews and subcontractors when needed, and take ownership of projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, honest, and motivated to deliver high quality homes while keeping projects on schedule and customers informed. Responsibilities Manage residential construction projects from groundbreaking through completion. Maintain project schedules and keep projects moving forward. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and material deliveries. Perform regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards. Communicate with homeowners throughout the construction process. Order and track materials to prevent project delays. Perform material takeoffs Schedule and coordinate all required building inspections and permit requirements. Provide regular progress updates to company leadership. Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites. Assist crews and subcontractors when needed to keep projects on track. Identify and solve problems before they become costly delays. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of residential construction management experience. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices. Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and customer relationships. Ability to read plans and specifications. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must be comfortable working both in the field and in the office. What We're Looking For Residential construction experience is required.
