Our experience ranges from small engineering and consulting projects to multi-million dollar turn-key distribution, substation, and transmission line programs. Edison Power Constructors (EPC) is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead operations across the Denver Metro area. This role is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of utility infrastructure projects, including overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission work. The Area Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving field performance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the successful delivery of projects for our utility clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day field operations across multiple power delivery construction projects Ensure all work is performed safely, in compliance with EPC standards, OSHA regulations, and client requirements Drive productivity by ensuring crews are effectively mobilized and work is executed efficiently from start of shift Oversee Foremen and field crews, providing direction, accountability, and performance management Monitor project schedules, production targets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery Conduct regular job site visits to perform safety audits, quality inspections, and progress evaluations Ensure all construction activities meet engineering specifications, utility standards, and quality expectations Partner with field leadership to address workforce concerns, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment Maintain accurate daily reporting, including labor, equipment, production quantities, and jobsite conditions Coordinate equipment utilization, maintenance, and repairs to maximize uptime and control costs Ensure operational and administrative discipline across field and office functions, including accurate timekeeping, job costing, billing support, and complete job documentation (e.g., job packets, as-builts, and closeout materials) Hold office and project support staff accountable to established processes and best practices to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and alignment with project and financial controls Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to support successful project execution Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in utility construction, power delivery, or related infrastructure projects Previous experience and knowledge of electric distribution and/or transmission construction practices Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable Solid understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA and utility-specific standards Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency with construction management tools and standard business software Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and field conditions What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who thrives in the field and leads by example A safety-first mindset with a commitment to zero incidents Strong operational and business acumen, with a focus on productivity and profitability A team builder who fosters respect, accountability, and collaboration
Compensation:
$115,000
