Job Description
The Project Manager will provide coordination and assistance in both the preconstruction and construction management process of a growing General Contracting business. This position requires an ability to show strong leadership in both both client and vendor relationships. Time management, scheduling and documentation through management software are critical support elements of this career opportunity for candidates with substantial industry specific experience. Tasks Supports the Clients, Estimators, Superintendent, and other project team members in the efforts to ensure a fluid and transparent completion of multiple projects. Work cohesively with the project teams and the company controller to consistently meet the billing and job costing requirements of the client. Prepare/update Schedules, budgets and manage subcontractor and field management on a routine basis. Lead in vendor and subcontractor qualifications, contracting, performance monitoring and project close out. Help grow the company's client and preapproved subcontractor base, with professional an knowledgeable leadership. Qualifications Have computer skills, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Project and Excel and a willingness to rapidly learn project focused management software. Must be competent and professional with a positive personality and a commitment to dependability, through results-focused and ethical customer service communication skills. Have the ability to communicate, support and motivate others both orally and in written correspondence. A degree in Construction Management is preferred, construction based experience is required. Must also be able to work independent and focus on multiply projects. Project status reports need to be presented confidently to management.
