Job Description:
Construction Superintendent | Luxury Custom Residential | Vail Valley, CO | $80,000-$180,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus A high-end builder of architecturally sophisticated spaces delivering exceptional work across luxury custom homes, multifamily, commercial interiors, and complex projects throughout the Vail Valley. Known for elevated craftsmanship, operational rigor, and strong client partnership. This is more than a superintendent role. It is an opportunity to join a growing builder committed to safety, quality, accountability, and the continued evolution of field excellence. What you'll own: Full field leadership on 1-2 custom projects with budgets of $3M-$20M, from mobilization through warranty Subcontractor coordination, sequencing, and daily site operations Schedule management including overall project schedule and rolling 2-week lookaheads Proactive design review, raising constructability concerns before they reach the field Day-to-day quality control: plans, specs, building codes, and finish standards RFIs, submittals, change orders, and cost reporting in partnership with the PM and accounting Clean, organized, professional jobsites that reflect well with clients, neighbors, and inspectors Primary on-site relationship with clients, architects, and inspectors What we're looking for: 7-10+ years in construction, including 5+ years as a Superintendent on high-end custom homes or similarly complex projects Proven track record leading projects from preconstruction through CO and warranty Deep knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building codes, and high-end finishes Fluency in architectural and engineering drawings, specs, and shop drawings Comfortable with construction technology: current stack includes Construction Online, Dropbox, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Mountain or cold-weather building experience (snow loads, moisture management, steep sites) preferred Who fits this role: Superintendent from a high-end custom home builder ready for a stronger culture and systems. Field leader from a large GC who wants to get back to craft-level work. Experienced Super with mountain or resort construction background.
