Job Overview Pond, an engineering and construction firm, is currently seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to join our Construction Management team for execution of an industrial project located near Ponce, Puerto Rico. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring daily presence at the project site. We are seeking an energetic, experienced, and responsive construction professional to complement our project management team. The Construction Site Superintendent will work in close coordination with senior project management staff to help ensure successful project delivery within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining high standards of quality, environmental compliance, health and safety performance, and communication with all project stakeholders. Qualifications Qualified candidates should ideally possess: 5+ years of experience managing industrial construction sites Strong knowledge and hands-on experience supervising industrial installations, including: Site development Concrete construction Structural steel erection Ventilation and environmental control systems Chilled and hot water generation/distribution systems Chemical storage and distribution systems Instrumentation and controls systems Strong communication skills are essential to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, regulators, government officials, suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders. Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is required for this position. Candidates should also possess strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Experience with construction management and design software such as Autodesk Build, AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is highly desirable. Responsibilities The Site Superintendent will lead Pond's field team and serve as the primary point of contact with subcontractors and client representatives.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing all prime contractor and subcontractor activities Monitoring and controlling the project schedule to achieve or improve milestone dates Ensuring compliance with applicable construction codes, standards, permits, and local regulations Verifying adherence to design documents and project specifications Supporting implementation and achievement of Quality Management Plan objectives Ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements Coordinating on-site logistics with client representatives and site personnel Managing project communications and documentation to ensure proper records and timely information flow among all parties Supporting the successful achievement of overall Construction Management team goals Position Type This position is being offered as a contract-for-services role for the duration of the project. Selected candidates will be engaged as independent 1099 contractors.
Pay:
