Job Description

Position Summary We are hiring a seasoned Construction Superintendent to serve as our primary field leader across all active projects. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role: you are the eyes, ears, and voice of the company on every jobsite. You will move between active projects daily — organizing the site, coordinating subcontractors and in-house crew, anticipating needs, and keeping ownership and project managers informed so the rest of the team can keep work moving in the background. The right candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-obsessed, and an excellent communicator. You take pride in a clean, well-run jobsite and have the experience to spot problems before they become expensive. Key Responsibilities Jobsite Organization & Oversight Serve as the lead on-site representative across all active projects. Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient jobsites. Walk every active site regularly; identify issues early and resolve them or escalate appropriately. Confirm work is being executed to plan, specification, and Riga's quality standards. Subcontractor & Crew Coordination Schedule, sequence, and direct subcontractors on site. Hold subs accountable for quality, schedule, cleanup, and safety. Direct Riga's in-house carpenters and laborers as needed. Run productive on-site coordination meetings. Communication & Reporting Communicate daily with project managers and ownership on jobsite status, needs, and issues. Anticipate material, labor, and information needs and communicate them in advance. Maintain clear, timely records of site progress, deliveries, and any issues encountered. Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients when appropriate. Quality Control Verify work against plans, specs, and shop drawings. Run punch lists and ensure complete, high-quality finishes before turnover. Catch errors, conflicts, and inconsistencies before they become costly. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a construction superintendent, lead foreman, or comparable field leadership role. Strong background in residential construction — both renovations and new builds. Exceptional organizational skills; this is the single most important attribute for this role. Sharp attention to detail. Strong, clear communicator with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and crew. Proven ability to read and work from architectural and construction drawings. Ability to manage multiple jobsites and shifting priorities without losing track. Valid driver's license and clean driving record (company truck provided). Comfortable with smartphone-based communication and basic project management software. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on carpentry or trade background. Experience with custom home building. Familiarity with construction project management software (training provided on our specific platform). Own hand tools (not required — company will provide what's needed). What We Offer Company truck. Competitive compensation based on experience. A high-trust environment with direct access to ownership. Long-term, stable work with a well-established local contractor.
