Job Description

Night Shift Construction Superintendent Mansfield Center, CT 06250 Full-time Full-time Job Summary It is the responsibility of the Night Shift Superintendent to organize, supervise and coordinate onsite workers, vendors and subcontractors in order to complete the work safely, on schedule and to the quality of workmanship specified. It is also his or her responsibility to serve as the ZCI representative onsite. In the performance of this function, it is the Superintendents responsibility to protect and promote ZCI's interests in all matters and to do whatever is reasonably necessary to execute his or her duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide project leadership for field team
  • Establish a safety conscious work site
  • Daily communication with ZCI PM
  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the project's daily activities - to include, site logistics, layouts, temp. utilities, staging areas, equipment and manpower etc.
  • Create harmonious working relationships with all those involved in the project, particularly the owner/ AE team and subcontractors
  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the contract documents, including specifications, plans and subcontractor scopes of work
  • Utilize ZCI project management software to track All project documentation.
Daily reports and photos will be completed
EACH DAY
  • Complete two-week "look- aheads", and assist PM in managing the CPM schedule
  • Manage and schedule required inspections
  • Manage site deliveries and take inventory of items, along with documentation of damaged items
  • Track and approve T&M tickets, as required
  • Manage "as-built" plans
  • Prior to beginning construction, examine contract documents for design deficiencies, impractical details and possible code violations
  • Meet at regular intervals with Owner/AE, and subcontractor team to discuss safety, schedule, challenges, etc.
  • Ensure that the prescribed quality control measures are implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist PM with any grand openings, commissioning items, and close-outs Skills Required
  • Attention to detail
  • Be able to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing
  • Plans and specification comprehension
  • Basic project cost analysis/accounting procedures
  • Critical thinking & willingness to investigate issues
  • Time management and task prioritization
  • Procore software
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Basic Carpentry, Electrical & Plumbing skills
  • Hands on
Certificates and Licenses:
  • OSHA 30 Hour desired (10 hour minimum)
  • CPR/First Aid desired
  • Pertinent Operators Licenses desired (Fork Lift/ Lull) Shifts
  • Night Shift (10:00pm - 7:00am) Education & Experience
  • Associates Degree in construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field desired or relevant experience
  • 10 years + construction Superintendent related employment
