Manage quality control by inspecting work in progress, verifying compliance with plans and specifications, and ensuring deficiencies are corrected promptly. Schedule and coordinate municipal, third-party, and special inspections, and maintain relationships with building officials and inspectors. Plan and manage site logistics, including material deliveries, laydown areas, equipment, temporary facilities, site access, and protection of adjacent property. Maintain thorough project documentation, including daily reports, manpower logs, progress photos, meeting minutes, incident reports, and as-built markups. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, owner representatives, and design team on progress, issues, and upcoming milestones. Lead the punch list, commissioning coordination, and closeout process, including warranties, O&M manuals, attic stock, and as-built documentation. Qualifications 10+ years of commercial construction experience, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent with a general contractor. Proven ability to manage projects independently from start to finish with minimal supervision. Extensive experience coordinating and sequencing multiple trades and subcontractors on active jobsites. Strong working knowledge of the submittal and shop drawing process, RFIs, change orders, and construction document control. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications, and to identify conflicts before they become field problems. Solid understanding of building codes, inspection processes, and construction means and methods. OSHA 30 certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Demonstrated commitment to a strong jobsite safety culture. Experience building and maintaining construction schedules; familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is a plus. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the judgment to resolve field issues quickly and appropriately.
