This role focuses on high-end outdoor structures, specifically the installation and craftsmanship of Tiki Huts and custom wood and thatch roofing systems . The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage a crew while maintaining the highest standards of structural integrity and aesthetic detail.
Key Responsibilities Lead Production:
Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring the project stays on schedule for the 60-day duration.
Specialized Carpentry:
Direct the assembly of heavy timber frames and the application of authentic thatch roofing materials.
Quality Control:
Ensure all wood joinery, roof pitches, and thatch layering meet specific safety and design standards.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a crew of carpenters and laborers, providing clear instructions and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Logistics & Travel:
Manage on-ground coordination in Puerto Rico, ensuring materials are handled correctly and site conditions are optimized.
Required Qualifications & Skills Expertise:
Minimum of 5+ years in carpentry, with specific, documented experience in Tiki Hut construction and thatch/wood roofing .
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of framing, heavy timber construction, and the unique requirements of tropical roofing materials.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing a job site and small crews in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Readiness:
Must be willing and able to relocate to Puerto Rico for the duration of the project. Compliance Requirements Due to travel and project site access requirements, the following are mandatory :
Valid Government-Issued ID:
Must possess a current, valid State ID or Driver's License.
REAL ID Compliant:
Must be REAL ID compliant for seamless domestic air travel.
Travel Eligibility:
Must be eligible for travel to and from Puerto Rico.
Compensation & Logistics Term:
Fixed-term contract (8-9 weeks).
Travel/Lodging:

Pay:
