Job Description

Job Overview The Construction Manager serves as the overall leader of construction operations across all active projects, providing strategic direction and oversight to Project Superintendents and field teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by aligning construction activities with budget, schedule, quality, safety, procurement, engineering, and contractual requirements.
Main Responsabilities:
Construction Operations Leadership :
Provide overall leadership and direction for all active construction projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives, budgets, schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. Direct and support General Superintendents and field leadership teams, promoting accountability, consistency, and operational excellence across all projects. Establish priorities, remove execution barriers, and drive project performance to achieve planned milestones.
Project Execution & Schedule Management :
Oversee project execution to ensure construction activities are performed according to approved plans, specifications, schedules, and company standards. Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays, and operational challenges that may impact project delivery. Ensure construction sequencing, workforce planning, and material availability support project schedules and production goals.
Budget & Cost Control:
Participate in the development, monitoring, and execution of project budgets. Review project performance against budget targets and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams to evaluate cost impacts, change orders, and financial risks.
Procurement & Resource Planning:
Ensure material procurement, equipment allocation, and subcontractor resources are planned and coordinated in accordance with project schedules. Monitor material requests to prevent disruptions to construction operations. Support strategic planning of labor, equipment, and construction resources across multiple projects.
Contract Administration & Consultant Coordination:
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations established with subcontractors. Coordinate and oversee consultant inspections, testing services, and third-party reviews as required by project contracts and regulatory requirements. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
Systems, Processes & Administrative Compliance :
Ensure all construction personnel consistently follow company procedures, workflows, and reporting requirements throughout project execution. Oversee the proper use of ERP and other company systems, ensuring timely and accurate project documentation, reporting, and data management. Support the onboarding and training of Superintendents and construction personnel on company processes, systems, and operational standards.
Pay Applications & Progress Validation:
Review, validate, and approve subcontractor progress quantities and payment applications submitted through company systems. Ensure project progress reported by Superintendents accurately reflects completed work and contractual milestones. Provide final operational approval of progress estimates prior to submission for financial processing.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership regarding project performance, budget status, schedule compliance, risks, and operational challenges. Collaborate closely with the CEO, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between construction operations and overall project objectives. Support strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and operational analysis Skills Proven experience as a General Superintendent overseeing all field operations for large-scale multifamily residential construction projects. Demonstrated experience managing the construction of multifamily residential developments exceeding 100 units , including apartments, condominiums, or residential communities. Proven ability to simultaneously oversee and coordinate multiple active construction projects while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives. Previous experience as a Project Manager with a strong understanding of project administration, including budgeting, cost control, procurement, contract management, scheduling, change orders, pay applications, and reporting. Extensive knowledge of the entire project lifecycle , from pre-construction and permitting through closeout and turnover. Strong understanding of U.S. building codes , construction regulations, permitting requirements, inspections, and compliance standards. Established ability to effectively collaborate and maintain professional relationships with city officials, inspectors, permitting authorities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies . Civil and site development works Structural construction (concrete, steel, and wood framing) Building envelope systems Interior finishes Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems General construction means, methods, and sequencing Ability to identify, coordinate, and resolve construction challenges across all project phases and disciplines. Strong expertise in construction planning, scheduling, logistics coordination, and resource allocation. Exceptional leadership skills with proven experience managing Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and field teams. Strong team-building, communication, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder management abilities. Results-driven mindset with the ability to maintain accountability, productivity, and project performance across multiple teams and locations. Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and project controls platforms. Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish , both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
