Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Manage RFIs (request for information) process to ensure prompt answers from the architects/engineers for proper documentation. Review shop drawings, samples and package submittals for the project. Documentation control and assist project manager in processing and reviewing change orders. Maintain procurement log for the equipment, material and manpower. Coordination between different stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors and clients, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration. Ensure coordination among all trades and entities working on the jobsite. Manage and challenge the schedule as the project progresses to keep it on track and ensure all trades meet expectations for timely completion. Oversee cost management to maintain alignment with the project budget, including reviewing change orders and coordinating cost-related matters with the owner. Support the superintendent in sequencing work and ensuring all trades remain aligned with the schedule. Meet the owners expectations for quality by establishing and implementing a strong quality control process to deliver a high-standard product on the jobsite. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites within commuting distance of DPR Constructions Ft. Lauderdale, FL office.
Minimum Requirements :
Masters degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a project/civil engineer-related occupation. Special Requirements :
Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Perform trade coordination and schedule management using Primavera P6, Bluebeam, look-ahead schedules, pull planning, and weekly trade meetings in order to ensure timely project delivery and alignment among all subcontractors. 2. Perform cost control and change management using CMiC (Project Management), budget tracking systems, cost reports, and owner coordination in order to maintain the project within budget and ensure financial transparency. 3. Perform trade accountability and conflict resolution using Microsoft Teams, emails, coordination calls, and look-ahead schedules in order to align subcontractors, resolve issues, and drive timely project progress. 4. Perform safety management using HammerTech (safety platform), kickoff meetings, orientations, and jobsite inspections in order to set clear safety expectations with trade partners, maintain compliance with
EHSP/OSHA
standards, and ensure a safe jobsite. 5. Perform quality control using DFOWs (Distinguished Features of Work), mockups, QA/QC inspection checklists, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud in order to deliver a final product that meets project specifications and owner expectations. 6. Perform buyouts and contract management using Bluebeam, scope reviews, bid comparisons, and subcontract agreements in order to secure qualified trades, define responsibilities, and mitigate scope gaps. 7. Perform preconstruction and estimating using OST (On-Screen Takeoff), WinEst (Estimating Software), Join (Bidding Platform), bid leveling, and procurement of trade estimates in order to develop accurate budgets and support early project planning. 8. Perform documentation control using Autodesk Construction Cloud, Box, RFIs, and submittal management in order to obtain timely approvals, maintain accurate records, and support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. 9. Perform closeout management using Autodesk Construction Cloud, Box, punchlist tracking, commissioning/start-up coordination, and turnover documentation (product data, warranties, O&M manuals) in order to achieve a smooth project handover and successful owner acceptance. 10. Perform inspection scheduling and permitting using municipality coordination, permit procurement processes, and knowledge of specialized inspections (e.g., AHCA for hospitals) in order to achieve timely approvals, avoid delays, and obtain the Certificate of Occupancy.
