Job Description

The Construction Customer Liaison & Permitting Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process while managing all permitting activities. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining clear internal communication with project superintendents and office staff to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for clients , providing regular updates on project status, timelines, and milestones Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive construction experience Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local municipalities and regulatory agencies Monitor permit approvals, revisions, and expirations to keep projects on schedule Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, zoning laws, and regulations Coordinate and schedule required inspections, ensuring documentation is complete and accessible Maintain accurate and organized records of permits, approvals, and project documentation Facilitate interoffice communication with project superintendents to ensure alignment on timelines, permit status, and project progress Collaborate with internal administrative staff to support project coordination and workflow efficiency Address and resolve client questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner Assist in identifying potential delays related to permitting or approvals and proactively communicate solutions
Qualifications:
Experience in construction administration, permitting, project coordination, or a related field preferred Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and municipal requirements Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or construction management software Customer service experience is highly desirable
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional interaction related to project coordination Regular communication with internal teams, including superintendents and administrative staff May involve deadlines tied to permitting and project schedules
