//tcd.semtribe.com/ The typical schedule is on-site Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with flexibility to be on-call for afterhours. This position is based at the Hollywood Reservation located at 5700 Griffin Road Davie, FL 33314 however is considered Tribal-Wide so as-needed you will need to visit other Reservations in Florida, including going out to Okeechobee, Clewiston, Immokalee, Tamiami Trail, Tampa and Lakeland. We'll try to factor the additional drive time into your work schedule so it can mainly be day trips, but on occasion there may be an overnight stay. Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of residential projects for the Seminole Tribe of Florida Residential Construction & Development Division. The incumbent monitors and coordinates work performed by architects, engineers, and general contractors ensuring compliance of Florida Building Code and STOF rules and regulations on behalf of the homeowner. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the application of construction experience and management skills of various projects during multiple phases. Oversees and administers architects, engineers, and contractor's procurement, contracts, purchase orders and billing for each construction project. Adheres to work flow, processes and procedures to ensure satisfactory completion of assigned work according to schedule.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similarly related field is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in construction management, site design development, procurement, bidding and negotiation processes, contract specification, negotiation and execution or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. A current State of Florida General Contractor's (GC) License is required; or the ability to obtain the GC License within 18 months of assuming position is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
