We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for large-scale concrete and structural projects, including airport facilities, parking garages, and other heavy civil structures. The Superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards, coordinating subcontractors, managing rebar and concrete placement, and enforcing site-specific safety and quality procedures.Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily on-site operations for concrete and structural construction projects, including parking garages and airport structures. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, labor crews, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules. Plan, sequence, and inspect rebar installation, formwork, concrete pours, post-tensioning, and related structural work. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements; conduct toolbox talks and safety audits. Collaborate with project management, engineers, and inspectors to resolve technical issues, RFIs, and change orders promptly. Monitor project progress, track productivity, and maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and as-built documentation. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets design specifications, codes, and company standards. Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and laydown areas to optimize staging for concrete and structural activities. Lead coordination with airport authority representatives and site stakeholders to ensure access, security, and operational continuity at active airport projects. Mentor and develop on-site personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
5+ years of construction field experience with at least 3 years as a Superintendent or lead foreman on structural and concrete projects. Proven experience with rebar installation, formwork, concrete placement, and parking garage construction; airport project experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, structural systems, and concrete construction practices. Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA), airport-specific safety/security protocols, and quality control procedures. Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and stakeholders. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, specifications, and shop drawings. Proficient in construction documentation, daily reporting, and basic scheduling software; familiarity with software like Procore or PlanGrid is a plus. Valid drivers license; construction-related certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, NCCER, or CSIP) and a degree or certification in construction management or civil engineering technology are a plus.
