Job Description:
About the Company We are representing a growing design-build general contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast, focused on industrial development including small-bay, distribution, and light industrial projects. About the Role This is a key hire within an expanding preconstruction team supporting a high-volume pipeline of ground-up work. The role will focus on both conceptual and hard bid estimating, working closely with internal leadership, developers, and operations teams to drive projects from early-stage budgeting through GMP. Responsibilities Lead conceptual and detailed estimating for ground-up industrial projects Develop budgets, takeoffs, and pricing strategies across multiple phases of preconstruction Collaborate with operations, design, and field teams to ensure alignment from precon through execution Manage subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope analysis Provide value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategies Support client interactions and help position projects for successful award Qualifications 5-15+ years of preconstruction / estimating experience with a GC or design-build firm Strong experience with industrial construction (tilt-wall, precast, concrete structures) Comfortable operating in both conceptual and hard bid environments Ability to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with regional subcontractor and pricing dynamics is highly valued Required Skills This is a high-visibility role within a growing platform, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the preconstruction function as the business continues to expand.
