Compensation:
$64/hour Overview System One is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support a leading aerospace client in Merritt Island, FL. This is a fast-paced, short-duration engagement focused on the rapid construction and deployment of temporary structures. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex construction projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and driving schedule performance in time-sensitive environments. Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end construction activities, including project scheduling, contractor coordination, and milestone tracking.
  • Ensure design requirements, specifications, and project objectives are met throughout all phases of construction.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce lead times across procurement, fabrication, and installation activities.
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors, including scope development, performance management, and change order administration.
  • Monitor project budgets and proactively identify and communicate cost variances.
  • Oversee safety compliance and ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, schedules, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience supporting construction, facilities, infrastructure, or structural projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to compress schedules and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing vendors, subcontractors, contracts, and change orders.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work on-site in Merritt Island, FL. Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Experience managing the construction or installation of temporary or modular structures, including tent structures.
  • Familiarity with rapid-deploy, expeditionary, or accelerated construction environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing projects.
