Job Description

The Personnel Consulting Group is looking for a seasoned Project Superintendent to spearhead on-site operations for our Design-Build client for a project in Northwest Florida. You will be the primary authority on the job site, responsible for transforming architectural visions into high-quality physical structures. The ideal candidate is a master of scheduling, a rigorous enforcer of safety, and a leader who can manage diverse trade partners while maintaining our client's reputation for excellence.
Core Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Direct all day-to-day site activities, ensuring subcontractors and vendors adhere to the project manual, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Schedule Management:
Maintain and update the look-ahead schedule; proactively identify potential delays and implement recovery strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
Design-Build Liaison:
Work closely with in-house architects and project managers to resolve field conflicts and clarify design intent in real-time.
Site Safety & Compliance:
Serve as the primary Safety Officer on-site, conducting daily inspections and ensuring 100% compliance with
OSHA Quality Control:
Implement rigorous "first-of-kind" inspections and manage the punch-list process to ensure a zero-defect turnover.
Qualifications Experience:
5-10+ years of lead supervisory experience in commercial construction (Ground-up and large-scale renovation preferred).
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of MEP systems, structural steel, and concrete; ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering sets.
Regional Knowledge:
Proven experience navigating New Orleans-specific challenges, including soil conditions, water management, and urban logistics.
Leadership:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage 50+ workers on-site while maintaining professional relationships with clients and inspectors.
