Full-Time Position Overview Gateline AI is seeking an experienced, Technical Operations Manager to participate and lead the installation, support, and operational functions of our low-voltage systems division. This position is ideal for a seasoned low-voltage professional with extensive experience in video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, networking, permitting, project management, project scheduling, technical support, and team leadership. Unlike a traditional management role, this is a working management position requiring active participation in installations, service calls, troubleshooting, project execution, and client support. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading field operations, supervising installation and support personnel, managing the post-installation support department, developing and managing project schedules, coordinating labor and resources, managing project budgets, overseeing permitting activities, and ensuring all projects are delivered safely, professionally, on time, and within budget. A significant portion of this role involves overseeing and participating in post-installation technical support. Candidates must possess strong remote troubleshooting capabilities and a proven track record of diagnosing and resolving cameras, access control, networking, intercom, and related system issues remotely while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The individual must be capable of managing multiple concurrent projects while balancing installation operations, technical support services, and customer satisfaction requirements across the organization. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in the low-voltage industry. Minimum 4 years of experience leading and supervising installation teams, service technicians, technical support personnel, and operational staff.

Minimum 5 years of experience providing advanced remote technical support and troubleshooting for IP-based video surveillance, access control, intercom, and networking systems. Demonstrated ability to remotely diagnose and resolve issues involving cameras, NVRs, access control systems, intercoms, managed switches, routers, network connectivity, and cloud-managed platforms. Strong experience utilizing remote access tools, VPNs, remote desktop software, cloud management platforms, and manufacturer support portals to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. Minimum 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. Minimum 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and maintaining project schedules for multiple concurrent installation projects. Proven experience forecasting labor requirements, allocating resources, and adjusting schedules to meet project deadlines. Experience managing technicians, installers, subcontractors, and support personnel. Experience creating project budgets and managing project profitability. Experience preparing permit documentation, permit application packages, submitting permit applications, and coordinating inspections. Experience working directly with permit reviewers, inspectors, and local municipalities. Strong understanding of permitting requirements and processes within Miami-Dade County and Broward County. Fluent English (written and verbal) is required. Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening. Key Responsibilities Technical Operations Lead and actively participate in the installation, programming, commissioning, and support of: Video surveillance systems Access control systems Alarm systems Intercom systems Network infrastructure Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs, and PoE devices. Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based workstations and client management systems. Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics for network, software, hardware, and security system issues. Serve as the senior technical escalation point for field and client issues. Ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable code requirements. Conduct site surveys and technical assessments. Maintain installation quality and consistency across all projects. Post-Installation Support & Service Operations Lead and manage the company's post-installation support department. Supervise technical support personnel responsible for servicing existing customers. Establish and maintain support procedures, service standards, escalation processes, and response time objectives. Monitor support ticket queues and ensure timely resolution of customer issues. Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex technical issues. Oversee remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolution of system issues. Analyze recurring service issues and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and customer satisfaction. Develop service workflows that maximize efficiency while maintaining exceptional customer support standards. Track support performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Permitting, Compliance & Municipal Coordination Prepare permit documentation and permit application packages for low-voltage projects. Submit and manage permit applications through local municipalities and government agencies. Coordinate inspections and maintain communication with permit reviewers and inspectors. Serve as the company's primary point of contact for permit-related matters. Maintain a thorough understanding of permitting requirements and procedures throughout Miami-Dade County and Broward County. Work directly with municipal inspectors, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), and local government agencies. Respond to permit comments, corrections, and inspection deficiencies. Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and industry standards. Maintain project documentation, as-built drawings, closeout documentation, and compliance records. The successful candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of local, county, state, and industry code requirements as they relate to low-voltage systems, including video surveillance, access control, intercom, networking, and alarm installations. The candidate should be highly familiar with permitting, inspection, and compliance requirements throughout South Florida, particularly within Miami-Dade County and Broward County jurisdictions. This includes understanding applicable building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, life-safety requirements, right-of-way regulations, municipal permitting processes, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
