Construction Superintendent - Commercial / Healthcare ConstructionWe are an employee owned construction management and design build firm committed to delivering high quality projects and lasting value for our clients. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations and deliver high-quality projects across commercial sectors including healthcare, hotels, student housing, tenant improvements (TI), mixed-use, office, and ground-up developments. The Superintendent will be responsible for daily field supervision, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety and quality standards, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and proven experience across diverse project types.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to specification across commercial, healthcare, hotel, student housing, mixed-use, office, TI, and ground-up projects.

Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules; coordinate trades and adjust sequencing to meet milestones and critical path activities.

Manage subcontractor performance: select, coordinate, supervise, and enforce contractual obligations and quality standards.

Implement and monitor site safety programs in compliance with OSHA and company policies; lead safety meetings and enforce corrective actions.

Conduct regular quality control inspections, review work for compliance with plans and specifications, and ensure timely correction of deficiencies.

Maintain project documentation including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, as-built records, and progress reports.

Coordinate with project management, design teams, owners, and inspectors to resolve issues, obtain approvals, and support permitting and inspections.

Monitor and control cost performance on-site by tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor efforts; identify and communicate potential cost impacts.

Plan and coordinate materials delivery, staging, and inventory management to minimize delays and risks to schedule.

Lead commissioning, punchlist completion, turnover, and client walk-throughs to ensure successful project closeout and handover.

Mentor and develop field staff and craft personnel; promote teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.

QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of Superintendent or Foreman experience on commercial construction projects, with demonstrated experience in healthcare, hotel, student housing, mixed-use, office, and ground-up construction.

Proven track record delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards.

Working knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, plans and specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.

Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Viewpoint, or similar), scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and mobile field tools.

OSHA 30 certification preferred; demonstrated commitment to job site safety and quality programs.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents; experience preparing RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel between job sites as required.

Associate or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered.
