Traveling Superintendent (Commercial Construction)
The ideal candidate has experience with big box retail construction and is comfortable managing fast-paced, multi-site projects with frequent travel.
Our client is an established general contractor known for strong preconstruction planning, subcontractor coordination, and quality project execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily on-site construction activities from start to finishManage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnelEnsure projects stay on schedule and within scopeCoordinate inspections, safety compliance, and quality controlReview drawings and specifications for constructability and executionTrack daily progress, site issues, and project reportingMaintain jobsite safety in compliance with OSHA standardsLead site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholdersResolve field issues and coordinate with project management teamSupport project closeout, punch list, and turnoverQualifications5+ years of experience as a SuperintendentStrong commercial construction experience; retail preferredExperience managing field operations and subcontractorsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specsWillingness and ability to travel extensivelyPreferredExperience with big box retail or multi-site rollout projectsGround-up and/or open-store renovation experienceFamiliarity with Procore or similar field management toolsCandidates that complete skills assessments and screening questions will receive priority consideration in the hiring process.
