Job Description

#Tech-Pro-Admin-01 Job Summary Located in Sarasota, Florida, this role involves overseeing field operations for an electrical contracting company. The position ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This leadership role acts as the primary link between project management and field teams, ensuring alignment with company goals, safety standards, and client expectations. The role requires leading foremen and field staff, resolving operational challenges, and enforcing compliance with Florida regulations and industry best practices. Specialty in larger commercial electrical projects is required. Experience with grocery stores, strip malls, and larger retail projects is highly valued.
Responsibilities Supervision:
Perform duties at multiple job sites simultaneously. Oversee field foremen and manage workloads on various projects. Mentor and provide hands-on training for field foremen to promote professional growth.
Representation and Compliance:
Adhere to company policies and procedures and enforce as needed. Communicate with project managers, supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors to manage and complete projects efficiently.
Project Management:
Work with project managers and field foremen to maintain project budgets and ensure timely completion. Perform quality control duties regarding on-site work.
Staffing and Coordination:
Assist with onsite interviews. Schedule and allocate staff to ensure projects are fully staffed with qualified help. Coordinate materials needed on each project site to ensure timely installation.
Equipment and Logistics:
Work with the warehouse manager to ensure timely deliveries to project sites. Coordinate with foremen and project managers to ensure proper equipment and tools are available on-site. Ensure proper use of company-owned equipment on project sites.
Training and Development:
Implement and maintain company standards for installation methods. Assist in training employees to maximize their potential. Train foremen to manage projects according to company requirements.
Issue Resolution and Communication:
Identify conflicts/issues in construction job-site progress and communicate them to field supervisors and project managers, providing resolutions. Follow up to ensure subcontractors correct all identified issues on job sites.
Site Management:
Ensure job sites are kept clean and organized. Maintain daily electronic logs of activities on job sites. Review completion lists with onsite foreman to ensure project completions. Attend pre-construction and weekly job site meetings if the foreman is unable to attend. Identify work areas outside the subcontracted scope with foremen.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the time and attendance system to ensure all team members clock in and out correctly. Ensure all timesheets for assigned employees are corrected and sent to HR before payroll. Coordinate and manage rental equipment required for tasks on the job site, keeping the budget in mind. Qualifications Ability to provide onsite directions and resolve problems among subcontractors, vendors, and employees. Identify deficiencies in work performed and provide resolutions. Excel at communication via phone and email with subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and field superintendents. Read and understand all drawings and specifications per project. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage difficult customer situations. Sound interpersonal skills and ability to solve conflicts on job sites. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work as a team member and balance team and individual responsibilities. Prioritize and plan job site tasks efficiently. Communicate professionally with all stakeholders and follow through on commitments. Assess job sites accurately and provide feedback to improve performance. Complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity. Observe and follow OSHA safety standards. Consistently report to work on time and ensure responsibilities are covered during absences. Show initiative and seek increased responsibilities.
