ODC Construction LLC is seeking a highly organized and proactive Field Manager to oversee daily construction operations, ensure quality control, and manage crew coordination. This role is essential in maintaining project schedules, managing inspections, and ensuring efficiency across job sites.
Reports to:
Area Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Crew ManagementSupport:
Provide blueprint clarification, define project scope, and ensure necessary materials are available.
Inspection Coordination:
Manage municipality inspections, ensuring compliance and addressing inspector requirements.
SchedulingDocumentation:
Update daily schedules in CrewTime, log delays, and verify future crew time planning.
Customer Relations:
Serve as the main point of contact for builder representatives, conducting daily check-ins between 9:00 and 10:00 AM to review project progress and address any needs.
Quality Control:
Ensure crew leaders perform quality checks at every stage of the project, including prep, footer pour, block, flatwork, and framing. Daily Operations Oversight. Monitor weather conditions for early-morning slab pours. Check in with crews on all active job sites to address any material, equipment, or blueprint needs. Verify concrete yardage for slab pours. Ensure flatwork pours are scheduled appropriately based on weather conditions. Perform quality checks that inspectors may not cover due to geographic constraints. Track and resolve active punch and warranty items. Update material and take-off issues in the Material Change Request (MCR) system.
Qualifications/Requirements:
OSHA 10 certification or the ability to obtain. Effective team player with a collaborative mindset. Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills Technologically proficient High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting Clear, professional communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Experience driving pickup trucks, utility trailers, or larger service vehicles safely. Ability to navigate to multiple construction sites daily, including in rural or high-traffic areas. Required to travel between job sites and company facilities, occasionally on short notice, with travel distances varying according to business needs. Must pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and periodic rechecks. Comfortable operating vehicles in variable site conditions (unpaved roads, construction zones, etc.). Must follow all company vehicle use policies and applicable traffic laws.
