Site Supervisor - Construction

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Supervisor - Construction to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will coordinate daily site activities, ensure safety compliance, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and uphold quality standards. Your leadership will drive project efficiency, adherence to schedules, and budget management, ensuring that all construction operations are executed smoothly and safely. Duties Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless workflow and timely delivery of materials. Monitor site safety practices rigorously, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify work accuracy and quality control. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other tools for project scheduling, tracking progress, and managing budgets. Supervise on-site personnel by providing clear direction, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Conduct regular inspections using tools like ohmmeters for electrical systems verification; ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and daily logs to maintain transparency and accountability. Assist in budgeting processes by tracking costs against estimates; support construction estimating efforts with accurate data collection. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards while maintaining high standards of quality control. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong understanding of heavy civil or commercial projects. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera P3 (Primavera), HeavyBid or similar tools. Solid knowledge of construction management principles including project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality assurance. Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with construction estimating processes. Supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations along with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment on-site. Strong communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to operate technical equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; familiarity with pipeline projects is a plus. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or 40-Hour training preferred; additional certifications in construction management or safety are advantageous.
