Senior Project Manager

  • $160,000 /yr Posted May 13, 2026 Senior Project Manager Position Overview Lead and deliver industrial construction projects for manufacturing clients, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety from pre-construction through turnover.
Act as the primary point of contact between owners, design teams and subcontractors to ensure structural steel, process systems and facility infrastructure are executed to specification, on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage full project lifecycle: pre-construction planning, estimating, scheduling, execution, closeout and turnover. Develop, maintain and drive project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones. Coordinate design, engineering and constructability reviews with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project readiness. Direct and supervise subcontractors and on-site construction crews, including structural steel erection and coordination with process trades. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and industry standards (safety, structural, electrical, mechanical and food-safety where applicable). Lead procurement and subcontractor selection; prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders and change orders. Implement and enforce site safety programs and quality control processes; conduct regular inspections and safety meetings. Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, stakeholders and project teams; prepare progress reports and presentations. Manage risk identification and mitigation, resolve site issues and maintain project documentation and as-built records. Oversee commissioning, startup and turnover activities to ensure successful handover and client satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. 7+ years of project management experience in industrial or heavy construction, with specific experience in manufacturing facilities. Proven experience managing structural steel projects (fabrication, erection and coordination with other trades). Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes and standards (e.g., IBC, OSHA, NFPA); familiarity with food-safety standards (HACCP, SQF) a plus. Experience with project controls and software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar) and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline teams and subcontractors. Solid financial acumen with experience preparing estimates, budgets, cost reports and managing change orders. PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred. Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as required. Benefits
