Job Description

Reconstruction Division Manager Company:
PuroClean of East Cobb Location:
Metro Atlanta, GA (East Cobb / NW Atlanta)
Department:
Reconstruction / Structural Repair (STR)
Reports To:
CEO Employment Type:
Full-Time, Exempt About Us PuroClean of East Cobb is one of the largest independent property restoration and reconstruction operators in Georgia and a President's Circle franchise within the national PuroClean network. We help homeowners and businesses recover after fire, water, mold, and storm damage — from emergency mitigation through full structural rebuild. As a preferred vendor for several national carriers and an approved large-loss contractor across metro Atlanta, we deliver fast, high-quality restoration that gets people back into their homes and businesses. Reconstruction is the largest and fastest-growing part of our business, and we are looking for a leader who can scale it. Position Summary The Reconstruction Division Manager owns the performance of our rebuild/reconstruction operation end to end. This is a working leadership role: you will personally run 2-3 large-loss reconstruction projects while simultaneously managing, coaching, and holding accountable a team of reconstruction project managers. You are responsible for the division's production throughput, profitability, customer experience, and build quality. Success in this role means jobs that move on schedule, hit margin targets, delight customers, and pass quality inspection the first time — across the entire division, not just your own projects. Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Restoration Operations (Standard Duties) Own the full reconstruction lifecycle from inspection and estimating through production, final walkthrough, completion, and closeout. Own the estimating process and its outcomes — the estimator produces the estimates and handles front-end sales/scoping, while this role is accountable for accuracy, completeness, carrier alignment, and margin. Review and approve estimates before they go to production. Own the supplement process, ensuring all covered work is captured when field conditions or hidden damage require additional scope, and protecting job margin. Manage carrier and adjuster relationships, including scope approvals, estimate reconciliation, and resolution of underwritten or disputed scopes. Oversee work authorizations, contracts, change orders, certificates of completion, and required carrier/TPA documentation. Manage subcontractor sourcing, scheduling, quality, and accountability; ensure proper licensing, insurance, and compliance. Track job financials including budgets, deposits, draws, costs, and collections in coordination with accounting and the job-management system (Dash / Next Gear). Ensure compliance with building codes, permitting requirements, safety standards, and warranty obligations. Drive customer communication and satisfaction throughout the project, proactively managing expectations, timelines, and selections via project managers. Large-Loss Project Management Personally run 2-3 active large-loss reconstruction projects (typically $250K+ scopes), serving as the senior point of contact for the customer, carrier, and trades. Build and manage detailed project budgets and schedules for complex, multi-phase rebuilds, ensuring scopes are accurate and complete. Anticipate and remove blockers — carrier approvals, mortgage releases, material lead times, subcontractor availability, and permitting — before they delay production. Division Leadership & Team Management Lead, coach, and develop a team of reconstruction project managers using proven, repeatable management methods. Manage and own the estimating function, ensuring scopes are accurate, on time, and aligned with division margin and schedule goals for a clean handoff into production. Hold regular one-on-one and team meetings with project managers to review job status, pipeline, blockers, and next actions. Conduct ongoing budget and margin reviews on every active job, intervening early where jobs are trending off-target. Own client follow-up at the division level, ensuring no customer goes dark and every escalation is resolved. Build and deliver ongoing training on estimating, production standards, customer service, documentation, and TPA/carrier processes. Establish, document, and enforce standard operating procedures that improve consistency, speed, and quality across the division. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance in this role is measured against clear, division-level metrics: Job Completion Time — cycle time from approval to completion, minimizing delays and aging jobs. Margin Target — achieving or exceeding gross margin goals on reconstruction production. Customer Satisfaction — customer survey scores, reviews, and resolution of escalations. Quality Scores — first-pass quality, punch-list/callback rates, and carrier/QA inspection results. Required Qualifications Strong background in construction management, with demonstrated experience running residential and/or commercial reconstruction projects. Proven experience managing reconstruction or construction project managers, with a track record of repeatable methods for driving team performance and accountability. Demonstrated experience managing projects to schedule, budget, and quality targets. Solid working knowledge of insurance restoration processes, carrier/adjuster workflows, and supplementing. Proficiency with Xactimate and the estimating process — sufficient to own the function, review and approve estimates, and oversee the estimator (the estimator produces the estimates day to day). Strong leadership, communication, and customer-relationship skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities — running active large-loss projects while leading a full division. Valid driver's license and ability to visit job sites across metro Atlanta. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with major Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) such as Contractor Connection, Alacrity, and similar carrier programs. Familiarity with restoration job-management software (e.g., Dash / Next Gear Solutions). Industry certifications (e.g., IICRC) and large-loss reconstruction experience. Experience building or scaling a reconstruction division within a restoration company. Why Join Us Lead the largest and fastest-growing division of a top-tier, growing restoration company. Real ownership and decision-making authority over your division's people, process, and results. Established carrier and TPA relationships and a steady, recession-resilient pipeline of work. The opportunity to build systems and a team that scale with the business. PuroClean of East Cobb is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
