Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Underground Utility Manager to oversee and manage underground utility construction projects in the State of Georgia. This position requires a valid Georgia Underground Utility Manager (UM) License or the ability to obtain one. The Underground Utility Manager will be responsible for direct hands-on supervision, field oversight, and management of utility system construction, repair, alteration, and installation projects. This role is essential to ensuring that water, sewer, storm drain, gas, and other underground utility systems are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with state regulations, project specifications, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Provide direct oversight and management of underground utility construction projects. Supervise the construction, erection, alteration, and repair of utility systems, including water, sewer, storm drain, and gas utilities. Ensure work is performed in compliance with Georgia licensing requirements, safety regulations, permits, and project plans. Manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and daily field operations. Review blueprints, site plans, specifications, and utility drawings. Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality, and job site safety. Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, municipalities, engineers, and clients. Ensure proper installation of utility systems at depths of 5 feet or more underground. Maintain accurate documentation, reports, inspections, and project records. Identify and resolve field issues, delays, or safety concerns. Train, mentor, and support foremen and crew members. Required Qualifications Valid Georgia Underground Utility Manager License , or eligibility to obtain the license. Valid Georgia Utility Foreman License held for at least two years, or equivalent out-of-state experience. Minimum of three years of experience in the construction, erection, alteration, or repair of underground utility systems. Experience working with utility systems installed at least 5 feet underground . Strong knowledge of underground utility construction methods, safety procedures, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage crews and multiple job site priorities. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with water, sewer, storm drainage, and gas utility projects. OSHA safety training or related safety certifications. Experience working with municipalities, DOT projects, or commercial construction sites. Knowledge of Georgia construction codes and licensing requirements. Strong equipment and excavation knowledge. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
