Construction Superintendent

A well-established and growing general contracting firm is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects. This position plays a critical role in coordinating jobsite activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership for assigned construction sitesPlan, schedule, coordinate, and direct all field activities and subcontractor workEstablish and enforce project safety plans and ensure OSHA complianceLead on-site meetings with subcontractors, owners, inspectors, and trade partnersMaintain jobsite discipline and enforce company policies and proceduresCoordinate material deliveries and confirm availability aligns with project scheduleEnforce quality control standards per plans, specifications, and local building codesEnsure proper job sequencing and efficient workflow across all tradesServe as primary field liaison with owners and occupants as applicableMaintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and jobsite photosMonitor subcontractor progress and performanceAssist with CPM schedules and prepare 3-week look-ahead schedulesImplement project schedules to meet milestone and completion deadlinesPrepare and process RFIs and assist with field issue resolutionIdentify potential change orders and back chargesSupervise company field labor and third-party hourly personnel as neededMaintain accurate as-built drawingsTravel to and report at various job locations as assigned

Qualifications:

5 to 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role in general constructionStrong understanding of construction sequencing, field operations, and subcontractor coordinationWorking knowledge of OSHA safety standards preferredExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with the project teamBenefitsSalary 100-125k (based on experience)Medical & Vision InsuranceDental InsuranceSick LeavePaid Vacation & Holiday Pay401(k) Plan
