General Contractor Learmond Construction Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time From $30 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Qualifications General Contractor License Construction project management Schedule management Construction team management Cleaning Leadership Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various construction processes and techniques, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and is completed on time. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance on the construction site.
Duties include:
Manage construction schedules and timelines Supervise subcontractors and trades Obtain permits and arrange inspections Communicate with homebuyers about project updates Communicate with senior management about construction schedule Verify completion of construction stages and ensure quality Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations Resolve on-site issues and delays Inspect work for quality and adherence to plans Approve and manage change orders Maintain site safety and enforce safety protocols Keep site records, reports, and documentation Coordinate final inspections and punch lists Oversee final cleaning of new construction Be present at project closeout and handover to client Conduct final walkthrough with client and senior manager Complete other duties as assigned General Contractors must be licensed and certified Position comes with a full benefits package including negotiable salary, health insurance and retirement plan.
