Job Description

Position Overview Axial Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to oversee all electrical activities on utility scale energy infrastructure projects. Acting as the Owner's representative in the field, this role is responsible for supervising contractor teams, ensuring strict safety and quality compliance, and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems. This position requires temporary residence near the project site throughout completion. Axial provides mobilization assistance and per diem allowance. Additionally, a company vehicle will be furnished for project-related use and daily commute with fuel included. This position is not a craft construction role. Responsibilities Monitor contractor work related to the following: Construction of substations, High-voltage bus installation, Breakers and switchgear, Power transformer installation, Substation grounding systems, and Protection and control installations Ensure construction activities adhere to engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable Utility standards and requirements Observe testing and commissioning activities Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports and field documentation Identify construction deficiencies and support resolution Coordinate with engineering and project management teams Monitor adherence to project and site-specific safety requirements Qualifications 8+ years of experience in substation construction or inspection Strong understanding of substation construction practices Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications Experience documenting construction activities Preferred Utility or EPC experience NETA familiarity Experience with commissioning or energization support
