General Contractor Assistant

Duties Assist the general contractor with daily project coordination, including scheduling and resource allocation Support site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications Help prepare and review construction schematics, blueprints, and estimates using tools like Bluebeam software Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to assist with various construction tasks such as framing, roofing, or concrete finishing Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials like drywall, flooring, masonry supplies, and fixtures Conduct on-site quality control checks for plumbing, electrical systems, stucco application, or glass installation Assist in maintaining detailed documentation including daily logs, incident reports, and progress photos Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of construction management practices Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings Hands-on experience with construction estimating and inspection processes Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and fabrication machinery Knowledge of various trades including carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), masonry (concrete forming, concrete finishing), roofing, plastering, welding, tile laying, and restoration work Ability to read technical schematics related to electrical systems or plumbing installations Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations on construction sites Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients This role offers a vibrant environment where your skills will grow rapidly as you contribute directly to impactful projects.
