Superintendent

The ideal candidate will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Job Description:

On-site construction supervision Management of day-to-day project needs Direct supervision of subcontractors Monitoring all aspects of the project in the field from start to completion Monitoring quality and workmanship Conducting safety meetings Maintaining detailed daily reports Coordinating and tracking on-site deliveries Monitoring critical path activities to ensure contract compliance and safety Ideal candidate should be able to: Maintain a tight, efficient project schedule Coordinate field change orders Maintain all safety regulations Must have knowledge in the following: UL assemblies Fire codes City codes

Requirements:

Must be able to read and understand Civil, Architectural, Structural, M.E.P. plans including all specs. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction Must possess at least an undergraduate degree in construction management/ engineering and/or other related field or have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a field superintendent or project manager in the field of commercial construction Must reside in the Chicago area Knowledge and experience in material quantities take-offs a plus Must be proficient with computers and with Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook) Must provide own transportation
