Job Description Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and dual-skilled Residential Remodel and New Build Working Superintendent with high level carpentry skills to oversee all phases of high-end residential construction projects, from ground-up new builds to complex remodels. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in both on-site supervision and hands-on carpentry work. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a willingness to actively engage in quality field work to maintain project schedule and quality standards. The right candidate will have high attention to detail and commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Project Oversight & Management Manage and direct the entire home construction and remodeling process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of all subcontractors, vendors, and field crew members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to the project schedule. Maintain daily/weekly schedules, monitoring progress, and communicating timely updates and changes to the Project Manager and all stakeholders. Resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and construction disputes quickly and effectively to prevent delays and bottlenecks. Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to anticipate needs prior to and during project work, and manage material deliveries. Quality Control & Safety Perform routine quality control inspections to ensure all work in place meets architectural plans, specifications, and the company's high quality standards. Interpret, read, and enforce construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints, providing technical support and clarification to subcontractors on layout and dimensional questions. Lead by example to enforce company safety policies, conduct regular site walks and safety meetings, and maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment compliant with all legal regulations. Partner with office staff and Project Managers to review project documentation and plans to ensure work is aligned with the most recent specifications. Hands-on Carpentry & Labor Perform high-quality, hands-on carpentry and construction labor as needed to ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and uphold quality standards, especially in detail-oriented phases of remodeling. Complete necessary basic repairs and punch list items directly to reduce cycle times and maintain project efficiency. Assist in setting up the project site, including site logistics, temporary utilities, and maintaining all erosion control measures.
Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction field operations experience . Demonstrated experience must be shown in both residential remodeling and new vertical construction.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting architectural, civil, and structural plan sets.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop teams in a fast-paced residential construction environment.
Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and internal team members.
Technology:
Proficient in basic computer use, including email and construction management software/mobile apps. Certifications (Preferred): First Aid & CPR certifications.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work on site and in a variety of physical positions, including standing for long periods, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
