We build premium homes and take pride in quality, communication, organization, accountability, and doing things the right way. We are a growing company looking for the right person to step into a key leadership role and help make sure our daily operations, projects, systems, team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and client experience are being handled to the Whitis standard. This is not a basic office management position. This is a leadership role for someone who can help run the day-to-day operations of the company, protect the quality of our work, and make sure things are being followed through on properly. Position Overview The Construction Operations Manager will be responsible for helping make sure the company operates at a high level every day. This person will work directly with ownership and management to help oversee project flow, communication, scheduling, documentation, accountability, technology systems, and follow-through across the company. The right person must be able to think beyond simply completing tasks. We need someone who can look at the bigger picture, identify what needs attention, communicate clearly, use technology effectively, and help make sure things are handled the right way. In many ways, this person will help take responsibilities off the owner's plate while making sure those responsibilities are still handled with the same level of care, urgency, communication, organization, and accountability expected by Whitis Contracting LLC. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Helping oversee day-to-day company operations Making sure projects, people, and systems are operating to the Whitis standard Coordinating communication between clients, office staff, field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors Helping manage project schedules, deadlines, job progress, and internal follow-up Ensuring Buildertrend and other company systems stay accurate, organized, and up to date Using technology to track tasks, document communication, organize project information, and improve accountability Monitoring permits, inspections, selections, change orders, contracts, scopes of work, purchase orders, and job documentation Following up with team members to make sure assigned tasks are completed correctly and on time Helping hold employees, subcontractors, and vendors accountable to company expectations Identifying problems early and helping create solutions before they become bigger issues Helping maintain a professional, organized, and consistent client experience Making sure jobs are clean, organized, documented, and moving forward Assisting with process improvements, structure, and company systems as we continue to grow Protecting the quality, reputation, and standards of Whitis Contracting LLC Technology Requirement This position requires someone who is comfortable using technology every day. The right person must be able to learn, use, and manage company systems without constant help. This includes project management software, email, calendars, documents, spreadsheets, task tracking, digital communication, and other tools used to keep the company organized. Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software is strongly preferred. However, the most important thing is that the person is tech-capable, willing to learn, and able to stay organized inside digital systems. We are not looking for someone who avoids technology or struggles to use basic computer systems. This role requires someone who can use technology to improve communication, organization, accountability, documentation, scheduling, and follow-through across the company.
