Substation Construction Manager

Substation Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee a substation project initially located in Arabi, LA, followed by Donaldsonville, LA. This role involves driving subcontractor performance and leading crews to build substations, with responsibilities for overall production and quality of the project. The successful candidate will lead a team of up to 25 people, ensuring project success over a typical duration of one year. Responsibilities Drive subcontractor performance and manage subcontractor crews. Ensure overall production and quality of the substation project. Lead a team of up to 25 individuals to successfully complete project tasks. Oversee construction and commissioning phases of company projects. Ensure subcontractors execute work in line with safety, quality, reporting, contract standards, change management, risk management, and schedule requirements. Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders, including standardized reporting and conducting construction meetings. Essential Skills Substation Construction Management experience. Distribution Construction Management experience. Electrical distribution knowledge. Power delivery expertise. Proficiency in construction documentation. QA/QC skills. Construction Management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Entergy Project experience is a plus. Experience in construction, project management, transmission, and safety. Computer skills. Reporting skills. Work Environment This project will last over 2+ years, primarily in the field coordinating subcontractor crews. Expect a work schedule of over 50 hours per week with 10-hour workdays for 5 days. Standard per diem is offered, along with holidays and PTO. There is potential for future project work, given the client's growing footprint and backlog of projects for 2026-2027. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Covington, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
