Construction Project Manager

Our client a north of Boston, construction/roofing company is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing projects in the roofing space. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in buyout, schedule management, quality control, and customer relations. Key duties include subcontractor and vendor management, materials procurement, conducting weekly project meetings, and handling project administration tasks such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and warranty submissions. There is a combination of both residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of roofing projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Manage the buyout process, including supplier pricing review, material selection, and subcontractor/vendor selection. Oversee project budgeting, control costs, and manage change orders to maintain budget adherence. Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and project plans. Maintain clear and effective communication with project teams and stakeholders, providing updates, addressing concerns, and fostering strong working relationships.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred but not required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction project management Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents such as project drawings and specifications. Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Familiarity with local construction regulations, permits, and approval processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project); experience with project management software such as Procore and Sage is preferred.
