Construction Superintendent

Our client a North Andover, MA based General Contractor is looking for a Construction Superintendent for a direct hire Mon-Fri position as soon as possible. The person will be responsible for managing and overseeing all on-site construction activities from start to finish. This position plays a key role in ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive construction experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management Supervise and coordinate all day-to-day construction site operations. Ensure work is performed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. Team Leadership Direct and oversee subcontractors, trades, and field crews. Schedule and assign daily tasks while maintaining accountability for performance and productivity. Project Scheduling & Budget Control Develop and maintain construction schedules. Assist in preparing and managing cost estimates for labor, materials, and supplies. Collaborate with project management to ensure projects remain on budget and on time. Logistics & Resource Coordination Plan and coordinate the delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to support ongoing work. Monitor inventory and anticipate project needs to avoid delays. Safety & Compliance Enforce all safety protocols and regulatory standards. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate daily logs of job site progress, incidents, and personnel activities. Prepare and submit reports to project managers and stakeholders as needed. Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other project partners. Provide regular progress updates and address any questions or concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Skills :

Experience:

Extensive background in general construction, with prior supervisory or leadership experience (Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, etc.).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Leadership:

Strong ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high-quality results.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse project stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

Skilled in identifying issues and implementing practical, timely solutions.

Organization:

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
