Job Description
Job Summary A&M is a 30 year full service construction management firm that specializes in the design-build of commercial, industrial, R&D, institutional and lab projects. The Project Manager functions as the point person for the project and steers the project forward. Principal areas of responsibility are overall project schedule and cost, subcontractor coordination, RFI and submittal tracking, and working closely with the site Superintendent, manages the performance of the subcontractors. Responsible for project organization and its functions from commencement of the pre-construction phase through completion of the construction and start-up phases. Duties Develops and inputs project budgets for cost tracking and forecasting Accurately evaluate/analyze subcontractor pricing Provides job forecasting monthly to accurately reflect project costs to completion of the project Understands and evaluates project extras and change orders Reading and understanding construction documents and drawings Manage multiple projects concurrently Compile list of required submittals and process with project team Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams by providing scope clarity, sourcing trades, and assisting with scheduling Provides exceptional project management skills in all areas of communication, time management, customer service, client and team interaction, process, and workflow Prepare and issue internal and external RFIs; follow up to ensure timely responses Works closely with Superintendent to develop and monitor the site-specific safety plan Reads and understands owner and subcontractor contract language, ensures objectives of contracts are met and delivers on contract obligations of the firm Maintain profitability targets and present strategies to leadership Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to support ongoing collaboration and future opportunities Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Skills Construction Estimating :
Minimum 5+ yearsConstruction Project Management:
Minimum 5+ years Proficient knowledge of CSI division system and of reading plans and specifications Ability to manage Preconstruction Services Demonstrated leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Diverse project experience Strong follow-up skills Proficient in analyzing drawings, specs, and bid packages across various trades Valid Driver's License, Travel is required Strong background in lump-sum competitive bids Experience in design-build construction estimating or pre-construction management Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously Clear communication and relationship-building skills with clients, trades, and internal teams Proficiency with the following software: Sage, Procore, Microsoft Office 360,Adobe, Bluebeam Job Type:
