Candidates should be organized, have good communication skills, familiar with construction practices, ability to manage subcontractors, have strong computer skills and willing to travel within the New England Region for work during the week. This is a great opportunity for a Foreman or Skilled Tradesperson looking to make the next step into the Project Management field. Experience in Construction required. Knowledge of the following is a plus: industrial and commercial building renovations, HVAC systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, site construction, various utilities and building systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for an individual capable of managing construction projects in the field and assisting project managers. The principal efforts include a diverse combination of field and office work from pre-construction activities to working with submittals to field supervision and sub contractor oversight. Our ideal candidate should be ambitious, upbeat, energetic, have positive outlook, creatively efficient and willing to learn as we are a fast-paced business. Maintain a comprehensive accountability of all construction activities Oversight of subcontractors for quality, schedule, safety and cost Documentation of all project activities, including daily reports Review and complete project plans and administrative forms Coordinate, review and approve technical submittals Attend site walks, pre and post-construction walks Coordinate and schedule project tasks, project resources & field coordination Enforce Safety and enforce OSHA and orEM385-1-1
Standards as applicable Enforce Cost control, review pay requisitions and invoicesQUALIFICATIONS
Clear understanding of and ability to read and interpret construction documents Demonstrate proficient analytical, technical, and problem solving skills Detail oriented, highly organized, ability to multi-task and be self-disciplined to consistently handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and "Attention to Detail" skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Self-motivated, work independently, able to "own" the position Ability to research solutions and understand the resources needed to perform a task Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks (both client and office-related) and work efficiently against deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internal and external Possess excellent presentation, customer service and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the phone Ability to listen, take direction, and resolve issues with a sense of urgency, and ability to articulate clearly when communicating with others Computer Skills are necessary, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Have both leadership and team orientation Team Player Ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion Ability to maintain confidentiality essential Considers position an opportunity for growth and career, not just a job.Other Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen Military Experience and Veterans, preferred Driver's license required Ability to pass government security background checks Comfortable in self-directed environment Ability to travel, as required CQM Training, OSHA 30, a plus; but will train Federal/State or municipal work experience a plus Massachusetts Supervisor License a plusBenefits:
