Job Description
Job Summary:
Sandow Construction, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in federal construction projects for agencies including the VA, DoD, GSA, and FEMA. We self-perform hazardous material abatement including lead, asbestos, and mold. Our projects are primarily located throughout the Mid-Atlantic and DMV region. We are looking for a Project Manager to own projects from award through closeout. This role splits time between the office and the field. You will be responsible for the full administrative and financial lifecycle of your projects while staying connected to what is happening on site and maintaining strong relationships with federal clients and subcontractors.Responsabilities:
Manage all aspects of assigned federal construction projects from notice to proceed through final closeout Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer, COR, and other government personnel on your projects Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost projections Prepare, review, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract modifications Coordinate with the Superintendent to align field operations with contract requirements and project schedule Manage subcontractor scopes, contracts, and performance Process and track pay applications, invoices, and project financial reporting Ensure compliance with all contract requirements including Davis-Bacon, safety plans, and quality control documentation Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with federal recordkeeping requirements Support business development and preconstruction efforts as needed. Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management or a comparable role Experience on federal construction projects is strongly preferred (VA, DoD, GSA, FEMA, or similar agencies) Solid understanding of federal contracting, including FAR, Davis-Bacon, and contract modification processes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Experience managing subcontractors and tracking project financials Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a government client environment Proficiency with project management and scheduling software OSHA 30 certification requiredPreferred Qualifications:
Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification Experience withEM 385-1-1
