Construction Superintendent - Commercial Projects

Overview Infinity Building Services, Inc. is a commercial general contractor, based in Bowie, MD, and our service area is Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Our sectors of work include restaurants, retail, hospitality, office, educational, medical, and base building. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Salary:

To be determined based on experience. Not strictly based on the now required salary range posting requirement.

Responsibilities Supervision:

Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Coordination:

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Scheduling:

Develop and manage project schedules using tools such as Procore.

Site Inspections:

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to schematics and project plans.

Quality Control:

Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds industry standards.

Compliance:

Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.

Training:

Provide training and support to team members regarding equipment use.

Problem-Solving:

Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly.

Experience Construction Management:

Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry. 5+ years preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.

Procore Software:

Familiarity with Procore construction management software is highly desirable as it is used for all project documentation. Office 365

Applications:

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

Quality and Safety:

Experience in quality control measures and implementing safety protocols on construction sites.

Technical Drawings:

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings effectively.

Leadership:

Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and communication.

Estimating:
