Sr. Operations Manager

MAG Aerospace is seeking a resourceful Sr.
Operations Manager to be primary point of contact for all operations at site for execution of deployed end-user interface, maintenance operations, and personnel scheduling in support of operations.
Works directly for the Program Manager to oversee theplanning and execution of all projects. Works closely with the customer to identify requirements and developsolutions.

MAG Aerospace is seeking a resourceful Sr.
Operations Manager to be primary point of contact for all operations at site for execution of deployed end-user interface, maintenance operations, and personnel scheduling in support of operations.
Works directly for the Program Manager to oversee theplanning and execution of all projects. Works closely with the customer to identify requirements and developsolutions.
- Must be US CitizenEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties include, but not limited to
- Responsible for producing a plan that captures the overall cost of each project and creating a schedule thatmaximizes the efficient use of external resources, internal labor, and contracted labor
- Works closely with the endusers and customers to de-conflict local resource constraints, environmental difficulties and political concerns
- Fully responsible for all aspects of each project that includes, but is not limited to
- System architecture development,equipment lists, procurement, material preparation to include system build, packaging for shipment, shipping,destination coordination for receiving, destination coordination for storage and onward movement, destinationprocurement for installation resources to include materials and labor, site preparation, installation of sensors andhardware, installation of system components, as-built diagrams, site acceptance, and end-user follow up through thecompletion of the project•Management for each installation may include but is not limited to the following sensortypes•Installation of Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers and antennas, radars, Automatic DependentSurveillance•Broadcast (ADS-B) receivers and antennas, security cameras, surveillance cameras, VHF/HFcommunications sets, microwave communications systems, satellite communications systems, domain awarenesssystems that include workstations, servers, and monitors, generator sets, renewable energy systems, etc•Installations of sensor systems require conducting work on towers and buildings and could involve the use of heavyequipment for site preparation•Manages project managers, technicians, and sub-contractors to complete projects•Because of extensive knowledge of the system, may perform duties as trainer for sensor system installations andmaintenance.
- Expert understanding and knowledge of training requirements for DoD programs
- In-depth knowledge of instruction training/policy guidance
- Military courseware/syllabus development experience
- Proven capabilities in all aspects of program management including contract performance management, resource/cost management, schedule estimation and tracking, personnel staffing, risk management, requirements analysis, quality assurance activities, design and development of processes and procedures
- Ability to effectively use typical project management and analytic tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and mutual respect
- Experience must include installing many of the sensor typeslisted above
- Experience must include work on and around towers
- Must be certified as a competent climber
- Must have had sometraining or experience in tower rescue techniques and able to be certified prior to managing efforts on a tower site
- Must have a basic understanding of electricalsystems and experience running power to complex equipment from various types of power generating equipmentand must have experience working with overseas 230 V power systems
- Must have experience in conducting sitepreparations for sensor installations
- Must have demonstrated project management skills that show ability tomonitor and control costs and meet aggressive schedules in challenging environments
- Must demonstrate expertisein Microsoft Office products, to include Excel, Project and Visio, to manage project plans, costs, and schedules.
- 10 years of experience required that must include
- 5 years managing complex technical projects
- 3 years managing projects related to installing sensor systems in remote overseas locations with minimal infrastructure, unreliable power, and extreme environmental conditions.
- MA/ MS degree and applicable experience must be in engineering, computer science or other technicalfield, unless a substitution applies
- Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
- Associates Degree plus four (4) years additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
- Six (6) years additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's DegreePhysical/Working Requirements
- Operations Managers usually work in an office environment, but the purpose of the project will sometimes take them to non-standard workplaces
- International travel to customer locations will be required.
- Current active DoD Security Clearance
- Daily work is on site at contractor facility in California, MD
- Not a hybrid or telework position
