Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager specializing in Heavy Civil Construction to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate all phases of construction projects, manage teams and subcontractors, and maintain strong client relationships. Your expertise will drive project success while adhering to budget and schedule parameters. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, and control operational and construction activities to meet or exceed company goals, including job cost estimates and contract requirements Manage manpower, equipment, and company assets to ensure efficient project execution Foster a positive work environment that motivates employees and promotes high performance Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required documentation and reports Directly supervise team performance and hold staff accountable for results Maintain a strong customer service focus, ensuring prompt and professional responses to internal and external stakeholders Oversee all quality control processes and ensure compliance with company standards Promote and reinforce quality expectations across all operational teams Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards Establish and maintain internal controls to protect personnel, equipment, and company assets Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and maintain a safe, secure work environment Monitor project budgets and financial performance, including job cost and variance reporting Implement corrective actions to address cost overruns or performance issues Balance multiple projects and priorities effectively Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Required Skills Minimum 5 years of utilities construction experience with increasing management responsibility 10+ years of progressive supervisory/management experience in construction or a related industry, preferably in organizations with annual revenues exceeding $15M Experience with Army Corps of Engineers, FAR, and Construction Risk Management preferred Proven ability to manage complex construction projects, including excavation, utilities, structures, and paving Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees Solid understanding of job costing, budgeting, and financial performance management Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage demanding clients and deliver creative, effective solutions High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to identify compliance issues and implement corrective measures Valid state-issued driver's license required Join us at DXI Construction where your leadership will shape impactful infrastructure projects!
