  • Construction Job Summary The Assistant Project Manager
  • Construction supports project managers in planning, executing, and closing construction projects.
This role helps ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project operations. Responsibilities Assist in overall project planning, scheduling, and management of assigned construction projects. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports to the Project Manager. Support procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Coordinate communication between clients, contractors, and internal teams. Help manage budgets, track expenses, and prepare cost estimates. Assist with documentation including change orders, contracts, and project reports. Support quality assurance and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in project meetings and assist in resolving construction-related issues. Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a construction or project management role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook). Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD).
